Academy Award–winning actress Angelina Jolie stars as the titular evil sorcess Maleficient in Walt Disney Studios live action re-telling of the classic Sleeping Beauty fairy tale titled Maleficent. Today some images have emerged online featuring the 37 year old in her full costume. Maleficent also stars Elle Fanning as Aurora & Sharlto Copley as Stefan, the half-human, half-fairy bastard son of the human king. In the movie Miranda Richardson plays Queen Ulla, a fairy queen who is Maleficent’s aunt & dislikes her niece. Kenneth Cranham will play the human king who plots to conquer the fairy kingdom. Sam Riley takes the role of Diaval, a raven who changes into human form & is Maleficent’s right hand. Juno Temple, Imelda Staunton & Lesley Manville play the three pixie fairies in the tale. Interestingly the original fable involved the King raping Sleeping Beauty & she conceiving 2 children. Hit the jump for the details.
