Filming has begun on 'TERMINATOR: GENESIS'! Starring Arnold Schwarzenegger & Emilia Clarke!

Skydance Productions have just revealed via their facebook page that production has begun on Terminator: Genesis, the reboot of the hugely successful franchise. Skydance posted the following message with the above image.

Terminator: Genesis is the first in a new trilogy that stars Emilia Clarke  as Sarah Connor, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jason Clarke as John Connor, Jai Courtney as Kyle Reese, Dayo Okeniyi, Byung-hun Lee, Michael Gladis, Sandrine Holt, & J.K. Simmons. Alan Taylor is directing the movie. This movie will be the fifth instalment of the franchise. Schwarzenegger starred in all but the last incarnation, 2009’s Terminator Salvation. Terminator: Genesis has a July 1st, 2015 release date. Filming has begun in New Orleans Louisiana. The "R.I.P. Sarah" on the clapboard is not a reference to Sarah Connor or any specific scene. It's a nice touch in memory of Sarah Jones, a crew member who tragically died while filming the Allman Brothers biopic Midnight Rider.

First Look at Denzel Washington as 'THE EQUALIZER' in Antoine Fuqua's Big Screen Adaption!

Columbia Pictures [via USAToday] has revealed the first images of Denzel Washington as 'The Equaliser' from Antoine Fuqua's The Equalizer. Washington plays McCall, a former black ops commando who has faked his death to live a quiet life in Boston. When he comes out of his self-imposed retirement to rescue a young girl, Teri [Chloë Grace Moretz] he finds himself face to face with ultra-violent Russian gangsters. As he serves vengeance against those who brutalize the helpless, McCall's desire for justice is reawakened. If someone has a problem, the odds are stacked against them, & they have nowhere else to turn, McCall will help. He is The Equalizer. The movie lands this September 26th & is a remake of the Popular 1980's TV Show.

20th Century Fox Release New Images from 'DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES'!

20th Century Fox have released new images for Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. The movie hits theatres this July 11th & stars Andy Serkis, Jason Clarke, Gary Oldman, Keri Russell, Toby Kebbell, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Enrique Murciano, Kirk Acevedo & Judy Greer. Matt Reeves directs the sequel to the 2011 hit Rise of the Planet of the Apes which began Fox’s reboot of the original Planet of the Apes series.  A growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth's dominant species. Universal Hire 'PROMETHEUS' Sequel Screenwriter To Pen 'BATTLESTAR GALACTICA' Movie!

Universal are finally moving ahead with their big screen adaption of the Battlestar Galactica franchise. Transcendence scriptwriter Jack Paglen has been brought in to provide the script. The studios initially had planned some years back for Bryan Singer to direct the adaption. The TV Show was originally created by Glen A. Larson & began with the TV series in 1978, followed by a brief sequel TV series, Galactica: 1980 two years later. A re-imagined version of Battlestar Galactica aired as a two-part, three-hour miniseries developed by Ronald D. Moore & David Eick in 2003. The miniseries led to a phenomenally & justly well-recieved weekly television series, arguably one of the greatest TV shows ever made which aired up until 2009. A prequel series, Caprica, aired in 2010. A two-hour pilot for a second spin-off series Blood & Chrome, aired in 2012. Paglen is no stranger to science fiction as has been drafted in to script Ridley Scott's still-untitled sequel to Prometheus. There are no details out there on this new Battlestar Galactica but Variety state that Universal will be rebooting the franchise from scratch & the big screen adaption will not take place within the canon of either the original series or the more recent reboot.

20th Century Fox have released a new poster & first TV spot for Matt Reeves' Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. Andy Serkis reprises his role as Caesar in the sequel which is hits theatres this July 11th. The sequel also stars Jason Clarke, Gary Oldman, Toby Kebbell, Keri Russell, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Enrique Murciano, Kirk Acevedo, Jocko Sims, & Judy Greer. Dayo Okeniyi is Cast in Final Lead Role in 'TERMINATOR: GENESIS'!

Actor Dayo Okeniyi [The Hunger Games] has been cast in Terminator: Genesis to play the son of Miles Dyson, who was the Director of Special Projects at Cyberdyne Systems & played by Joe Morton in Terminator 2: Judgment Day. Dyson was the inventor of the neural-net processor, which would eventually lead to the development of Skynet. Due to this, he inadvertantly became the man most responsible for Judgment Day. Terminator: Genesis is the first in a stand-alone trilogy, which will also star Jason Clarke, Emilia Clarke, Jai Courtney & J.K. Simmons. David Ellison will produce with Laeta Kalorgridis & Patrick Lussier attached to write the screenplay. Alan Taylor is directing with franchise star Arnold Schwarzenegger returning as the titular Terminator. This is the final lead casted for the movie.

Universal Release New Trailer for James DeMonaco's 'THE PURGE: ANARCHY'!

Universal Pictures & Blumhouse Productions have released a new theatrical trailer for The Purge sequel in the shape of The Purge: Anarchy. The movie is once again headed by writer-director James DeMonaco. Frank Grillo, Michael K. Williams, Carmen Ejogo, Zach Gilford, Kiele Sanchez & Keith Stanfield all star. 20th Century Fox has released a new trailer & poster for X-Men: Days of Future Past. Paramount Pictures Release Explosive New TV Spot for Darren Aronofsky’s 'NOAH'!

Paramount Pictures have released a new TV spot for Darren Aronofsky’s epic retelling of the biblical story Noah. Arriving this March 28th the movie stars Ray Winstone as Tubal Cain, the nemesis to Russell Crowe’s titular hero. Emma Watson plays Ila, a young woman who develops a close relationship with Noah’s son, Shem [Douglas Booth], with Logan Lerman playing Noah’s other son, Ham. Jennifer Connelly plays Noah’s wife, Naameh. Anthony Hopkins is playing Methuselah, while Kevin Durand is playing a giant who helps Noah & his family.
