Warner Bros is pushing ahead with a new standalone Batman picture with Ben Affleck reprising his role from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Warner Bros. chairman & CEO Kevin Tsujihara confirmed at CinemaCon that Affleck will direct & star in a stand-alone Batman movie. "It set up a great foundation for our DC slate, which includes at least 10 movies through 2020," said Tsuijhara. "I’m also excited to know that we will be working with Ben Affleck on a stand-alone Batman movie." The project has been in the works for a while as it was earlier revealed that Affleck would co-write the picture with comic scribe Geoff Johns.

Some very interesting location pictures from Ridley Scott's Alien: Covenant are surfacing online. Principle photography is set to start on the movie in the next few weeks and reports of crew setting up production in Fiordland National Park has emerged with some neat images. The first teaser forfilm Star Wars Rogue One has leaked online, videos have been surfacing via YouTube before they got taken down. Rogue One is the first of Disney's standalone Star Wars films, set before Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope & tells the story of a group of Rebel starfighters who are plotting to steal the plans for the first Death Star. Paramount have unveiled some new 10 Cloverfield Lane photos! Producer J.J. Abrams has already confirmed it’s not a direct sequel to 2008’s Cloverfield stating: "The idea came up a long time ago during production. We wanted to make it a blood relative of ‘Cloverfield.’ The idea was developed over time. We wanted to hold back the title for as long as possible." Dan Trachtenberg takes the directors chair & the movie is set for a March 11th release date. John Goodman, Mary Elizabeth Winstead & John Gallagher Jr star. Demián Bichir has been cast in Ridley Scott’s Alien: Covenant. Bichir will join newcomers Katherine Waterston & Danny McBride in the sequel to Scott's 2012 Prometheus. Michael Fassbender is reprising his role as David, while Waterston is set to play a woman named Daniels. The movie connects directly to Scott’s 1979 seminal work of science fiction begining with the colony ship Covenant, bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy. There, the crew discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world — whose sole inhabitant is the “synthetic” David, survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition. Jack Paglen & Michael Green are penning the script. Production commences in Australia with the movie hitting theaters October 6th, 2017. Via THR.

Directed by Zack Snyder & written by Chris Terrio from a screenplay by David S. Goyer, Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice stars Henry Cavill in the role of Clark Kent/Superman & Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman. The movie also stars Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, with Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne & Diane Lane returning from Man of Steel, joined by Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred & Holly Hunter in a role newly created for the film. Ridley Scott's 'PROMETHEUS' Sequel Directly Linked to 'ALIEN' as Fox Reveal New Title, Synopsis & Logo!
20th Century Fox has just revealed that Ridley Scott's sequel up to Prometheus will be titled Alien: Covenant no longer Paradise Lost! The studios also announced a synopsis & October 2017 release date. Pretty interesting stuff. Director Sir Ridley Scott has revealed more new details on his upcoming Prometheus sequel after last week revealing that new title, that it will connect back to Ripley & the original Alien Xenomorph. Alien: Paradise Lost will begin principle photography this coming february with Noomi Rapace & Michael Fassbender set to reprise their roles of Shaw & the android David. A 2017 release date is expected, with Neil Blomkamp’s currently-untitled Alien sequel likely coming out the following year with Sigourney Weaver & Michael Biehn returning as Ripley & Hicks.
