Tom Hardy will play Venom in Sony Picture's 'Venom'. Hardy plays Eddie Brock aka Venom in director Ruben Fleischer's adaption. Spiderman is now with Disney’s Marvel so Sony are looking to expand the Spider-Man franchise into new territory. Hardy previously played the DC Comics supervillain Bane in 2012’s 'The Dark Knight Rises'. Screenwriters Scott Rosenberg & Jeff Pinkner will pen the script for the movie which hits theaters October 5th 2018. Production will begin this fall. The studio also released a photo of the actor wearing a Venom T-shirt & mentioned that he is a "huge fan of Venom".
