William Monahan, who won the Oscar for best adapted screenplay for 2006’s The Departed is reportedly being brought in to script Robert Rodriguez & Frank Miller's sequel to Sin City, their 2005 hit graphic novel adaptation. THR report that Monahan has been hired to work on the script, according to their sources, to polish a draft completed recently by Miller. Rodriguez revealed at this years Comic-Con that actors playing characters that survived the first film are expected to return & because the majority of the movie is shot against green screen that scheduling shouldn’t be too difficult. Rodriguez has previously stated that the sequel film would be based on Miller's A Dame to Kill For which previously had the film-makers in negotiations with Angelina Jolie to play the lead.
