DAVID FINCHER'S "THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO" Red Band Trailer Is Online

David Fincher's adaption of Steig Larsson's The Girl with The Dragon Tattoo is coming this fall. Last week it was announced that the first trailer would be screened in European theaters before hitting U.S screens this forthcoming week. Well as of tonight a Red-Band trailer from the film has been uploaded online and we have it here [for the moment]. Scored by Trent Reznor, the artist reworks a version of Led Zeppelins immigrant song with vocals by Karen O [Yeah Yeah Yeah's], the trailer hits home and Rooney Mara looks excellent. The 100-second, Red-band teaser trailer for the film won’t be "officially" released until next week. Hit the jump to check it out [while you can]!

The trailer certainly exudes style over substance as its completely lacking in narritive. But we are familiar with the story already. Fincher's version also has to compete with an excellently realized foreign-language adaptation of the best selling novel. Noomi Rapace is essentially "The Original Girl With The Dragon Tattoo" but Rooney Mara, this newer sleeker sexier maybe softer version stands on her own two feet.

A better version will be released and we will have it. The green band version hits on June 2nd so be prepared. The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo hits theaters December 21st, 2011 and stars Daniel Craig, Rooney Mara, Robin Wright, Stellan Skarsgård, Christopher Plummer, Joely Richardson, Yorick van Wageningen & Steven Berkoff.
