Benjamin Walker has been cast in the title role of Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, which will be helmed by Timur Bekmambetov. Seth Grahame-Smith, whose novel inspired the film, also wrote the script. Bekmambetov will also co-produce with Tim Burton and Jim Lemley. The film sees the 16th US president fighting the undead during the Civil War. Walker is relatively a newcomer and recently starred in Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, both on- and off-Broadway. 20th Century Fox has scheduled the film, to be shot in 3D, for a release on June 22, 2012.
