Screenwriters Laeta Kalogridis & Patrick Lussier have been hired by Skydance to pen the script for the next installment in the Terminator franchise report Deadline. There are as of yet no concept details or word of Arnold Schwarzenegger returning. Kalogridis also served as James Cameron's executive producer & co-writer on Avatar, her screenwriting credits also include Shutter Island & Alexander. Lussier's writing credits include Drive Angry, My Bloody Valentine & Dracula 2000. Megan Ellison, producer & founder of Annapurna Pictures previously bought the rights to the Terminator franchise & has teamed up with her brother David & his company Skydance to bring the future project to the big screen. A production & release date have yet to be announced for the movie, the closest to a sequel for Terminator Salvation.
