Jamie Foxx is reportedly negotiating a major role in Marc Webb's The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Variety report that Foxx is set to play a villain & point towards Electro. Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci, Jeff Pinkner & James Vanderbilt have penned the sequel. Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone & Shailene Woodley all return to star in the May 2nd 2014 release. Electro has never definitively appeared on the big screen, though some fan speculation has suggested that the mysterious figure [Michael Massee] featured in The Amazing Spider-Man's end credits was, in fact, our first look at the character. First appearing in 1964's The Amazing Spider-Man #9, Electro's real name is Max Dillon and he has the power to control electricity. The news follows the recent attachment of Shailene Woodley [The Descendants] to the role of Mary Jane Watson. Foxx also teased with the following tweet:
