Warner Bros recently revealed what we have suspected for some time that "General Zod" is Superman's adversary in Zack Snyder's reboot. Michael Shannon will play the Villain in the now officially titled Man Of Steel. In an interview with Sheppasm, Shannon reflected on the process of joining the movie, comparing the process to an acid trip and not being allowed to read the script. Hit the jump for the details.
Shannon joins a cast that includes Henry Cavill as Superman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane and Kevin Costner and Diane Lane as Pa and Ma Kent. "Zod is not only one of Superman's most formidable enemies, but one of the most significant because he has insights into Superman that others don't," Snyder stated. "Michael is a powerful actor who can project both the intelligence and malice of the character, making him perfect for the role."
