Tom Hardy [Mancrush we call him around here] recently appeared on British TV chat show Alan Carr: Chatty Man. Hardy briefly chatted about his interpretation of the highly unexpected yet somewhat intriguing role of Bane in Christopher Nolan's Batman: The Dark Knight Rises:
On Joel Shumacher's Bane.
"Have you seen the Joel Shumacher Batman and Robin? Doesn't look very menacing does he?" [Laughs]"
On questioned whether he would be wearing a similar "Gimp" mask in Christopher Nolan's version:
"Well...only if I feel like it!"
On the new version of the character:
"Chris Nolan will revisit the character so I wouldn't go by that at all. I'm going to need to bulk up a lot for it. That's a lot of weight to put on and I've got to start shooting in May. I've got to go up to about 13 or 14 stone. I'm 12 and a bit now, so only have a few months to do that."
