Natalie Portman has destroyed the fragile dreams of a million adolescents by getting knocked up and engaged. This somewhat worse for wear pubescent army whose fantasy worlds have collided with a new reality, no longer adorned by Portman, who has existed in a sort of trans-dimensional pleasure facilitator much akin to some of her fantasy related roles has taken a blow. Recently Portman has been involved in another type of fantasy, this time for grown-ups.
Portman has been rumored to be somewhat attached to Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment's upcoming tentpole movies: Zack Snyder's Superman: The Man of Steel and Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises. The actress spoke in this week's Oscar issue of Entertainment Weekly, She denied the rumors about her appearing in either [or both] films. When asked about Superman, she stated: "What is that? [laughs] No, I haven't heard anything." And whether she'll appear in the last installment of Christopher Nolan's Batman franchise: "Oh, I don't know anything about that."
This doesn't mean she has not been approached by Warner Bros, or that she is being coy though one would suspect with the brain that any ole actor would wait until they have a final script in their hands before making any decision.
