Ridley Scott's 'PROMETHEUS' Sequel Directly Linked to 'ALIEN' as Fox Reveal New Title, Synopsis & Logo!

20th Century Fox has just revealed that Ridley Scott's sequel up to Prometheus will be titled Alien: Covenant no longer Paradise Lost! The studios also announced a synopsis & October 2017 release date. Pretty interesting stuff. The Logo may at first appear plain but it actually incorporates the same font design from the original 1979 masterpiece. Hit the jump for the details.

Synopsis: "Ridley Scott returns to the universe he created in ALIEN with ALIEN: COVENANT, the second chapter in a prequel trilogy that began with PROMETHEUS — and connects directly to Scott’s 1979 seminal work of science fiction. Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, the crew of the colony ship Covenant discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world — whose sole inhabitant is the “synthetic” David (Michael Fassbender), survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition."
This looks overall like a good move, I don't think you really want to dive straight into that narrative of what Shaw & David do directly next. An aftermath may be more compelling & thrilling to discover. Noomi Rapace's character really lacked any purpose beyond flighty private self-meaning & faith. A new ship, a Colony ship: the Covenant, a new crew. Lets strip right down to the essentials & chew the fat, begin a new beat. Hopefully Scott can bring this franchise back to where it belongs.
