Paramount Pictures, Skydance Productions & Annapurna Pictures have delayed the release date of Alan Taylor's upcoming reboot of the Terminator franchise. Originally set for release on June 26th, 2015 the new date is July 1, 2015. In effect its only a delay of around five days. The movie will arrive amongst other blockbusters such as Jurassic World & Batman Vs. Superman. While it has yet to be officially confirmed we are led to believe that Thor: The Dark World director Alan Taylor is the frontrunner to direct what will be the first in planned trilogy of standalone movies. Laeta Kalorgridis [Avatar] & Patrick Lussier [Drive Angry] are attached to pen the screenplay. Megan Ellison of Annapurna & David Ellison of Skydance will produce. Dana Goldberg & Paul Schwake of Skydance will serve as executive producers.
