Noomi Rapace Updates Status of Ridley Scott's 'PROMETHEUS' Sequel!

A sequel to Ridley Scott's titular Prometheus has been planned since a prequel to Alien was conceived, Scott's return to sci-fi was mostly well-received but divided critics & audiences alike while taking home a healthy profit at the box office. Prometheus was always planned as a two part project with Fox earlier confirming a sequel. Noomi Rapace [Elizabeth Shaw] recently revealed to The Playlist that "They're working on the script. I met Ridley in London a couple of weeks ago. I would love to work with him again and I know that he would like to do another one. It's just like we need to find the right story. I hope we will." Rapace did not reveal who is working on the screenplay but Damon Lindelof has already confirmed that he is not returning but alluded to themes that may arrive in the sequel: "Some people who see the movie many times and discover new things. There are all these religious aspects and there are very interesting conversations. And for me, if we do a second one, there are a lot of things to explore in there and to continue." Rapace also stated that speculative angles are things she would like to see influence the sequel: "It's interesting because people, most people I've talked to who see the movie, see things that are quite different. Some people who see the movie many times and discover new things. There are all these religious aspects and there are very interesting conversations," Rapace explained. "And for me, if we do a second one, there are a lot of things to explore in there and to continue. I would love to do it." Both Fassbender & Rapace are contracted for the sequel rumoured to be titled Paradise & expected to be released in 2014 or 2015. For more details on Prometheus #2 go here.
