Locked away in development for quite some time the sci-fi thriller Interstellar now has a new director in Christopher Nolan. THR reports that Nolan is interested in taking on the project which involves time travel & alternate dimensions in a story that sees a group of explorers travel through a wormhole. Nolan would be taking over from previously attached director Steven Spielberg. Production on the movie would be a joint effort between Paramount Pictures & Warner Bros. Nolan is expected to bring in his brother Jonathan Nolan [The Dark Knight Rises] for further script tuning & development. The is based on the scientific theory by Kip S. Thorne, a Caltech physicist & expert on relativity who suggests that wormholes exist & can be used for time travel.
