Disney CEO & Chairman Bob Iger today announced that director Joss Whedon has officially signed on to write & direct The Avengers 2. Iger also revealed that Whedon will have a hand in the creation of the proposed Marvel TV show that will run on ABC. Whedon's The Avengers is currently third on the all-time worldwide box office list with $1.5 billion. There has yet to be any announcements in regard to production & release dates.
