20th Century Fox Confirm Sequel to 'PROMETHEUS' Arriving 2014 or 2015 Starring Noomi Rapace & Michael Fassbender!

A sequel to Ridley Scott's Prometheus has been officially announced today by 20th Century Fox. THR confirms that the studio is developing a sequel to this years hotly anticipated /debated /disputed /polarizing science fiction thriller & 'Prometheus part 2' will hit theaters in 2014 or 2015. Michael Fassbender & Noomi Rapace are both contracted to reprise their roles of David & Elizabeth Shaw, respectively. Screenwriter Damon Lindelof is not attached to return for the sequel & the studio is said to be in talks with other writers for the project. Prometheus had an estimated budget of $130 million & took home a worldwide box office gross of $303 million. "Ridley is incredibly excited about the movie, but we have to get it right. We can't rush it," Fox president of production Emma Watts stated. Scott's next project, The Counselor, is in production now with Fassbender, Brad Pitt, Javier Bardem, Penelope Cruz, Cameron Diaz, Dean Norris & John Leguizamo starring. 2014 may be a bit early since Scott is developing a Blade Runner sequel so my money is on 2015.
