Ridley Scott's Prometheus has finally been rated & the movie will be Rated R. A lot of people have been getting their panties in a twist over the issue. American fans were basically freaking out that they would receive a candy coated watered down PG-13 movie from 20th Century Fox while europe got the directors intended version. The rating was revealed via an IMAX 3D ticket stub indicating that Scott's return to sci-fi has indeed been rated R. Quite frankly this movie could never really be anything else considering the levity of its themes & the intelligence of the script. 20th Century Fox CEO Tom Rothman earlier stated the movie "will not be compromised either way," & the studio would accept whatever the MPAA handed down. Ridley Scott's Prometheus arrives in 2D, 3D & 3D IMAX theaters this June 8th & also stars Noomi Rapace, Logan Marshall-Green, Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Idris Elba, Sean Harris, Kate Dickie, Patrick Wilson, Rafe Spall & Guy Pearce.
