Cameron Diaz has reportedly joined Michael Fassbender, Brad Pitt & Javier Bardem in Ridley Scott’s The Counselor, the actress has in effect replaced Angelina Jolie. The movie follows a lawyer named The Counselor [Fassbender], who gets embroiled in the drug trade & ends up fighting for his life. Diaz has supposedly taken the role of Malkina. Critically acclaimed author Cormac McCarthy penned the script, in fact The Councelor is the Pulitzer Prize-winning authors first screenplay. Producer Steve Schwartz stated the following: "Since McCarthy himself wrote the script, we get his own muscular prose directly, with its sexual obsessions. It’s a masculine world into which, unusually, two women intrude to play leading roles. McCarthy’s wit and humor in the dialogue make the nightmare even scarier. This may be one of McCarthy’s most disturbing and powerful works." Scott starts shooting in June.
