NBC Picks Up Bryan Fuller's 'HANNIBAL' TV Series for 13 Episodes based on Thomas Harris' Infamous Character!



Bryan Fuller's TV Series Hannibal has received a direct-to-series order from NBC, who picked up 13 episodes of series based on Thomas Harris' character Hannibal Lecter. Fuller is focusing on the show on damaged FBI profiler Graham instead of Clarice Starling [Jodie Foster in Silence of the Lambs]. Graham is the agent who captured Lecter when he was on his killing spree. The back story between the two characters was alluded to in Harris' Red Dragon & Manhunter. Hit the jump for the details.

EW report that the pilot will likely shoot this summer in preparation for a mid-season release in 2013. The FBI profiler Graham focused initially his investigation into the "Tooth Fairy" murders.
