Scarlett Johansson will make Directorial Debut with Truman Capote's Lost Novel 'SUMMER CROSSING'!


Scarlett Johansson will be making her directorial debut with an adaptation of Truman Capote's lost novel Summer Crossing. Capote reportedly was so unhappy with his first ever book that he destroyed the manuscript but it was discovered over 50 years later & published in 2005. Variety report that Barry Spikings [The Deer Hunter] will produce with Peter D. Graves executive producing in conjunction with the Truman Capote Literary Trust. The novel is a coming of age story set in New York following the end of World War II & focuses on Grady, a 18-year-old girl from a wealthy family. Grady must make serious decisions about the romance she is dangerously pursuing and the effect it will have on everyone involved. Screenwriter Tristine Skyler is scripting the adapton.
