Director Jim Sheridan Wants his Name Removed from Morgan Creek's 'DREAM HOUSE'!

In the words of Dillon [Charles S. Dutton, Alien 3] "What the f**k is happening here?' What is this bulls**t Whats coming down!?  We got murder! We got rape! We got brothers in trouble! I don't want no more bulls**t around here! We got problems ... We stand together." While it may be a tad dramatic this has not been a good week for directors. This is rumor control & here are the facts, Jim Sheridan's wants his name taken off of his latest effort, the horror film Dream House set up at Morgan Creek. The movie which stars Daniel Craig & Rachel Weisz, has a pretty abysmal 8% fresh rating on RottenTomatoes plus has only been able to gross $11 million worldwide on a $50 million budget. Hit the jump for the details.

The Irish director is a six-time Oscar nominee & is clearly not happy. The LA Times report that Sheridan reached out to the Directors Guild of America (DGA) earlier this summer in order to get his name removed from the movie but the only way that can happen is if the DGA determines that the finished product is significantly different from the movie Sheridan has been attempting to make. The DGA eventually dropped the request after Morgan Creek agreed to let Sheridan re-shoot a portion of the film. But the director started deviating from the script that led to disastrous test screenings. Morgan Creek finally stepped in & took control of the film in the editing room. Sheridan fought back by resuming his request with DGA & declined to do any publicity for the movie.
