Mark Bomback will rewrite 20th Century Fox's delayed The Wolverine. Variety reports that the movie, still without a confirmed start date will be "retooled" by Bomback. The original script penned by Christopher McQuarrie was inspired by Frank Miller & Chris Claremont's 1982 miniseries. The movie, a sequel to Gavin Hood's 2009's X-Men Origins: Wolverine starred Hugh Jackman as the title Hero. Bomback’s previous credits include Live Free or Die Hard, Unstoppable, Godsend, Deception, Race to Witch Mountain [Remake] & Total Recall [Remake] of which actually features rewrites by McQuarrie. Filming which takes place in Tokyo & Vancouver, is expected to start next year after Jackman wraps Tom Hooper’s Les Miserables for Universal.
