Jessica Chastain has signed up as one of the leading female roles in Joseph Kosinski's Horizons. Tom Cruise has already been tied down to star in the sci-flick that is based on Kosinski's own comic book series that takes place in a future where humanity has fallen to an irradiated Earth. Cruise plays Jak, a maintenance drone working on the planet's surface alongside another worker, Vika. When a woman, Julia, is discovered in a crashed ship, Jak's whole world is thrown into question and he finds himself strangely drawn towards Julia. Variety report that Chastain will be playing either Vika or Julia. Horizons hits theaters July 19th 2013.
