Studio Canal have released the international trailer for Nick Murphy’s period supernatural thriller The Awakening. The film, set in the aftermath of the first world war stars Rebecca Hall as Florence Cathcart, an author & paranormal sceptic bent on exposing all séances & ghost stories as exploitative shams following the death of her husband. The Awakening also stars Dominic West, Imelda Staunton, John Shrapnel, Lucy Cohu, Diana Kent, Richard Durden, Tilly Vosburgh & premieres tomorrow [September 16th] at the Toronto International Film Festival & hits UK theaters this November 11th. Synopsis: "Haunted by the death of her fiancé, Florence Cathcart is on a mission to expose all séances as exploitative shams.
