Anthony Hopkins is currently ironing out the details & final negotiations to join New Line's Solace. The project has been knocking around for a couple of years with Mark Pellington [The Mothman Prophecies] originally slated to helm the movie back in 2008. The movie focuses on a clairvoyant doctor who is enlisted by the police to help catch a serial killer. Hopkins is set to play the doctor, John Clancy. Before you start thinking the doctor is obviously the serial killer I have it on good word thats not the case. Variety report that Pellington is unfortunately no longer attached although the production team remains in Beau Flynn & Tripp Vinson of Contrafilm alongside Matthias Emcke & Thomas Augsberger producing. Sean Bailey & Ted Griffin penned the script with rewrites by James Vanderbilt [Not to be confused with Dawson's Creek!]. Peter Morgan has since applied more polishing.
