Details Emerge As Ridley Scott's 'PROMETHEUS' Continues Production in Spain!


Ridley Scott's Prometheus recently wrapped up shooting in Iceland & now the production has moved to the sunny south of Spain. Local news site Informacion reports that Prometheus's production crew have set up camp in Alicante as they prepare to shoot at the Ciudad de la Luz [City of Lights] film studio. Synopsis: "Visionary filmmaker Ridley Scott returns to the genre he helped define, creating an original science fiction epic set in the most dangerous corners of the universe. The film takes a team of scientists and explorers on a thrilling journey that will test their physical and mental limits and strand them on a distant world, where they will discover the answers to our most profound questions and to life’s ultimate mystery."
The Spanish news site [via Chris at Alien Prequel Newsalso reveal some pretty interesting details stating that according to the Spanish Ministry of Culture the production crew will be hiring the studio's large water tank plus a secluded beach area in Alicante. The shoot will run from next month through to December 10th. The scene that will be filmed there is said to focus on a huge yacht that gets caught in a storm. Guy Pearce & Michael Fassbender are rumored to be involved in the shoot which continues to imply Pearce's role is much larger than originally speculated. Hats off to him. Prometheus is scheduled to be released on June 8th 2012.
