Tom Cruise has been confirmed to play 'Jack Reacher' a retired military policeman turned crime-fighting drifter in Christopher McQuarrie's One Shot at Paramount Pictures and Skydance Productions. Deadline broke the news. The project is based on Lee Child's series of novels that center on Reacher who is known for his stoic nature, brutality in dealing with villains and his imposing size.
