Oscar Isaac [Sucker Punch, Robin Hood] has signed on & joined the cast of Universal's third 'Bourne' outing, The Bourne Legacy. Deadline who broke the story state that Guatemalan actor will play 'Number 3' ..a sesame street tie in? no just "another brainwashed assassin in the film." Scripted & directed by the very capable Tony Gilroy, the action thriller already stars Jeremy Renner, Rachel Weisz & Edward Norton. This casting is quite interesting as apparently Isaac was Gilroy's first choice of replacing Matt Damon as the central figure in the franchise but the studios were not interested in a non-white, non box office draw leading their biggest franchise to date, enter Renner. The Bourne Legacy hits theaters August 3rd 2012.
