Lorenzo di Bonaventura [Transformers] and Gigi Pritzker are together producing a big screen adaption of the classic arcade game Space Invaders. Di Bonaventura is also behind the upcoming Asteroids adaptation. The pair are now looking for a screenwriter to adapt the game released in 1978. The game was later licensed for production in the United States by Midway. Since neither of the Games has any kind of story-line, other than Aliens with flapping wings the team are tasked with creating one. THR broke the news.
