'CAPTAIN AMERICA' Director JOE JOHNSTON Wants to Make 'BOBA FETT' The Movie!

Joe Johnston [Captain America: The First Avenger] recently sat down with ScreenRant & talked shop. The director discussed mostly 'Captain America' but did reveal a gold nugget of an idea. Johnston wants his mentor and former boss George Lucas to make a spin-off movie based on Star Wars intergalactic rogue bounty hunter 'Boba Fett'. Awesome. Hit the jump for the details.

Johnston stated:

"I’m trying to get George to make a feature based on Boba Fett." When asked if he would direct the film director stated simply, “I would like to [direct it], it would be a lot of fun."
Where was he when they decided to make the f**cking Ewoks? Johnson & Lucas go back like Cher & Bonnie Tyler. They share a long working relationship. Johnson began working for Lucas initially as a storyboard artist, then moved up the ranks to become Lucas' designer and visual effects art director on Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back & Return of the Jedi. In fact Johnson designed some of the franchise's most loved characters and vehicles, including Yoda, the Ewoks, The Millennium Falcon, The X-Wing Fighters, The Y-Wing Fighters, The Imperial Snow Walkers, The Imperial Star Destroyer, & yes Boba Fett. Played by Jeremy Bulloch in the original films then Daniel Logan in Attack of the clones the character has developed his own separate cult like following. Well we know Lucas has already stated no more Star Wars movies so this is probably already in pre-production.
