River Road Entertainment intends to bring the life of musician Brian Wilson [The Beach Boys] to the big screen. The company purchased the life rights to Wilson and his wife Melinda Wilson with Oren Moverman [The Messenger] hired to pen the script. Bill Pohlad & John Wells Productions will produce, with Jim Lefkowitz executive producing. In a long and winding career Wilson wrote over fifteen Top 40 hit singles including the studio masterpiece Pet Sounds before the artist succumbed to a nervous breakdown during the making of the follow-up album Smile. Pohlad and Wells have yet to cast the movie, but the two are considering multiple actors to portray the musician.
