Jason Statham stars as a British Elite Special Ops Agent in the first trailer for Killer Elite which has been released today. The plot is actually based on a true story captured in the 1991 novel The Feather Men by Sir Ranulph Fiennes. The film rapidly travels across the globe from Australia to London and the Middle East following "Danny" [Statham] who is lured out of self-imposed exile to reassemble his old team of operatives to help to rescue his former mentor [Robert De Niro.] To make the rescue, he must complete a near-impossible mission of killing three assassins and their cunning leader [Clive Owen]. Gary McKendry directs and the film also stars Yvonne Strahovski, Dominic Purcell, Aden Young, Ben Mendelsohn, Lachy Hulme, Firass Dirani, Grant Bowler & Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje & is scheduled to hit theaters on September 23rd.
