While mere speculation, there have been certain rumblings in the grapevine in regards to the first teaser for Ridley Scott's Prometheus. 20th Century Fox's The Rise of the Planet of The Apes is due to arrive in theaters this Aug 5th, Prometheus is due to hit theaters roughly 9 months later on June 8th 2012. The typical Fox teaser which anticipates a larger, full-blown campaign is usually A. Between 12-4 months prior to premier. B. Misleading [Check out Alien 3's first teaser released before the movie began production!] Its not such a long shot considering the target audience and window. What we can assume is that something is being out together right now. Whats worth noting however is with Prometheus' being released in 3D, would one anticipate the first teaser to be released accompanying a 3D feature? The Rise of The Planet of The Apes is a normal 2D release but I don't think this factors in considering Fox's early teasers for James Cameron's Avatar. Then again wasn't that the first 3D Movie?
