Israeli actor Alon Aboutboul has been cast as the main Villain in Christopher Nolan's Batman The Dark Knight Rises. Israeli website XNet first broke the news which was later confirmed by the actor's wife, Shir Bilya via twitter. Sources state that the actor’s role is that of a Hugo Strange "particularly evil mad scientist." Hit the jump for the details.
There is the possibility that the role is the insane scientist from Peña Dura responsible for the experiment that introduced Bane to his venom which transforms his strength but would this really be a main role? The answer may not officially be revealed until July 20th 2012 but basically its Doctor Hugo Strange. Gary Oldman [Commissioner Gordon] suggested that there would be another major villian which had yet to be announced and specifically that "the whole story would be based on that villain." and if it is Hugo Strange it furthers our source's info back in November that The Dark Knight Rises will be based on, if not significantly referenced to Prey. You may not be so familiar with the Israeli actor but you might have seen him appear in TV’s Castle, Fringe or The Mentalist or in small roles in Rambo: First Blood Part III, Munich and Body of Lies. The Dark Knight Rises hits theaters July 20th, 2012 and stars Christian Bale, Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Marion Cotillard & Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
