The Social Network hunky twin Armie Hammer has just been cast in the title role in Disney's reboot: The Lone Ranger. Hammer is set to star opposite Johnny Depp, who is "set to change peoples opinions of Native Americans" by playing the Ranger's sidekick Tonto. Variety broke the news with the best film Blog ComingSoon.net knocking on the door of Disney to get confirmation. Ryan Gosling apparently came close to the gig. The Lone Ranger will be produced by Jerry Bruckheimer with the ass of Gore Verbinski planted in the directors chair. Justin Haythe penned the script between meals and sleep. The movie is set to hit theaters May 11th 2012.
