We rarely cover Gamer news but when something as anticipated as Modern Warfare 3 is on the horizon, when Infinity Ward are back in the picture it is unacceptable to not be sh**ting yourself. Today Activision premiered the first gameplay trailer for their upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, and as expected it absolutely f**king rocks! Hit the jump to check it out.
The existence of the trailer was first announced on MW3′s Facebook page a week ago, which then aired during half time of the Western Conference Finals and finally Infinity Ward’s Robert Bowling posted a link to the HD trailer on YouTube as soon as it became available, through his twitter feed. What not a lot of people know is that the trailer actually leaked prior to release but fortunately for Infinity Ward they used the leak as an advantage. Activision Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg says that Activision was lucky that the MW3 leak happened so close to the date of the official reveal for advertising reasons but are investigating the breach.
The game is being developed by Infinity Ward [thank f**k], Raven Software and Sledgehammer Games and is planned for release on November 8th. Also its worth noting that all the footage is actual gameplay. Bowling tweeted: "Call of Duty doesn’t have cut scenes, every second of that was taken from playable moments in the game."
