Tobey Maguire has a job! The former Spiderman is set to star in Ang Lee's Life of Pi. The news comes via Variety who state that Maguire will play a writer in the big screen adaptation of Yann Martel's bestselling novel. Maguire's character will interview "Pi", [Suraj Sharma] who recounts the story of his passage to a better life in America [where else obviously?] but finds himself stranded in the pacific in a tiny boat for 227 days with a number of animals. The film also stars Irffan Khan, Gerard Depardieu, and Adil Hussain. The script is penned by David Magee, Lee intends to shoot the whole damn teary eyed thing in 3D in Taiwan and India. Maguire was last seen on screen in the 2009 war thriller Brothers, opposite both Jake Gyllenhaal and Natalie Portman. The movie hits theaters December 14th, 2012.
