Universal Pictures and director Tony Gilroy have chosen their lead for The Bourne Legacy, Jeremy Renner is now expected to sign on as a new undisclosed government covert agent who has emerged from of a similar program, even more dangerous than the one which spawned Jason Bourne after the studios formally offered the actor the role. Deadline report that Universal tested many other actors including Joel Edgerton, Dominic Cooper, Garrett Hedlund, Luke Evans, and Anthony Mackie.
