Rumors had surfaced before linking Guy Pearce to joining/or have joined the cast of Ridley Scott's Prometheus but nothing was ever announced. Today CHUD received an email linking Pearce to the sci-fi production. In fact they received an anonymous email [pseudonym "Brian Blessed"] yesterday providing a tip-off that the actor, was spotted on set and further emails confirming his involvement. "Evening Nick, my mate is working on Prometheus as --------- and met Guy Pierce on set today. She’s previously worked on -------, -------- and -------- and I’ve no reason to believe she’s lying. I’ve not read anywhere about Guy being cast so thought it might interest you."
We can only speculate who Pearce could be playing in the film if he is in fact involved, if cast he'll be starring alongside Michael Fassbender, Noomi Rapace, Logan Marshall-Green, Idris Elba, Sean Harris, and Charlize Theron. Its worth pointing out given Pearce's screen time on The Road and The Hurt Locker it may be minimal involvement, or simply the Brit dropped by to say hello.
