Screenwriter Josh Zetumer has officially signed with MGM to write the script for the Robocop remake state Deadline. The writer currently is without a produced credit but with two of his spec scripts landing on the 2006,07 "Black List", Infiltrator and Villain plus drafts of Bourne 4 and Quantum of Solace under the belt writer has the chops. Jose Padilha will head the remake of the 1987 Paul Verhoeven blockbuster and like the original the remake will be based on the hypothetical tale of a police officer who is rebuilt as a crime fighting cyborg.
