GARY OLDMAN HINTS AT NEW VILLAIN & CONNECTION BETWEEN [BATMAN: TDKR] & [BATMAN BEGINS]

While doing the press rounds for Red Riding Hood, British actor Gary Oldman who plays Commissioner Gordon in Christopher Nolan's Bat trilogy spoke with MTV and dropped a couple of hints about the direction of The Dark Knight Rises particularly the arc that connects TDKR to Batman Begins. Hit the jump to check them out.

"No, I haven't seen the script yet, I know the story though and its a great story. I mean, you look at The Dark Knight and you think how's he gonna top it? And he has." When quizzed on the storyline. "I cant say. I'm sworn to secrecy. Yeah, the scope of it and also the way he sort of brings it back to Batman Begins. And really what Christian/Bruce Wayne discovers and learns about himself. I mean I hear that it's a good role, but I'll have to wait and see won't I?"

The statements to imply the involvement of another Villain which seems inevitably to be Talia Al Ghul, i.e linked to Batman Begins, played we believe my Marion Cottilard. Also the possibility of Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s character being in fact a villain exists, who may have a connection to Falcone who appeared in Batman BeginsOldman will join Christian Bale, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Michael Caine, Gordon-Levitt and possibly Marion Cottilard this May to commence principal photography on TDKR, which is scheduled for theatrical release July 20th 2012.
