DISNEY RENAME JOSEPH KOSINSKI'S [OBLIVION] TO [HORIZONS] & ORDER RE-WRITES

Disney Pictures have decided to change the title of their upcoming sci fi project Oblivion to Horizons report THR. The site also states that screenwriter Karl Gajdusek has been drafted in to rewrite William Monaghan's script. Tron: Legacy director Joseph Kosinski had teamed up with Radical Publishing back in 2009 to produce a graphic novel entitled: Oblivion, the director successfully pitched to Disney late last year as a big screen adaption. The description of the Graphic novel:

"In a future where the Earth’s surface has been irradiated beyond recognition and the remnants of humanity live above the clouds, safe from the brutal alien Scavengers that stalk the ruins. But when surface drone repairman Jak discovers a mysterious woman in a crash-landed pod, it sets off an unstoppable chain of events that will force him to question everything he knows."

Gajdusek's previous credits include the upcoming Joel Schumacher thriller Trespass. Its unclear the reasoning behind the name change and how much of the original script will remain.
