BRYCE DALLAS HOWARD'S DIRECTORIAL DEBUT [THE ORIGINALS]

Bryce Dallas Howard is set to follow in her father Ron Howard's footsteps and direct her first film, one she refers to as "a 'Breakfast Club' for my generation." The news comes via Showbiz411 who state that Howard has co-written a film entitled: The Originals with Dane Charbonneau, and the actress informed the site that she intended to direct. The film focuses on a group of 20-somethings who are reunited in New York after learning that their childhood teacher has fallen into a mysterious coma. While it sounds initially like a homage to The Big Chill, Howard also stated that one of the parts is written for Zoe Saldana who has not yet responded with signs of interest. Imagine Entertainment and Universal will distribute the film.
