Jake Gyllenhaal could be about to replace Matt Damon in Tony Gilroy's Bourne franchise. Gyllenhaal currently heads a list of promising
replacements actors including Tobey Maguire, Garrett Hedlund, Taylor Kitsch and Kellan Lutz, though reportedly a much longer list exists including Josh Hartnett, Paul Dano, Michael Fassbender and Alex Pettyfer. Gilroy is not persuaded by star factor and is requesting that all the actors screen test, and apparently is open to casting an unknown talent. The movie titled "The Bourne Legacy" will arrive sometime in 2012 and is being housed by Universal and is set to be a sequel to the previous three installments. The news comes via Deadline.
