TRENT REZNOR WILL SCORE DAVID FINCHER'S [THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO]

Earlier today Trent Reznor announced on a live-streaming interview with The New York Times, that he has spent the last month and a half working on the score for David Fincher’s upcoming adaptation of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Unlike in The Social Network, in which he utilized electronic oriented sounds this new score is performance-based, Reznor stated that words such as “ice” and “frozen” have inspired the soundtracks conception.

Reznor was due to perform some of the new music for The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo during the streaming interview, but unfortunately was unable to prepare for it due to the passing away of his mother last Sunday. Along with the score, Reznor confirmed plans for the forthcoming release of How to Destroy Angels‘ full length debut and “some greatest hits bullshit” that Nine Inch Nails owes its former label.
