Heat Vision is reporting that Christopher Nolan is looking at six actresses for two female role in his final Bat flick of the franchise The Dark Knight Rises. Keira Knightley, Anne Hathaway and Jessica Biel are due to test for roles in the next two weeks. Also testing are relative newcomers Kate Mara and Charlotte Riley. British actress Gemma Arterton has also scheduled to test but, as reported last week, Arterton has landed the female lead in Paramount's Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters so there may well be scheduling issues.
Shortly before Heat Vision broke the news, there were reports that Naomi Watts and Eva Green had been cast as Vicki Vale and Talia al Ghul respectively. The site debunks this story, saying that Watts cannot even do meetings as she is busy shooting tsunami disaster drama The Impossible in Thailand. They however, confirm what we suspected way back in August that Talia, Ra's al Ghu daughter as well as Batman's lover and antagonist, will appear in the third Batman film from Nolan. Interestingly, Charlotte Riley is engaged to Tom Hardy, who is playing a role in the movie. This seems quite solid news. Shooting is expected to start in May and will film in London and Los Angeles. The Dark Knight Rises opens in theaters on July 20, 2012.
