Clint Eastwood is attached to direct a remake of Warner Bros. A Star is Born.
Beyoncé Knowles is already in talks to take on the lead role. This will be the fifth time this movie has been made. As USA Today state in 1932, George Cukor directed What Price Hollywood?, whose plot was exactly the same as the first Star is Born in 1937. A lawsuit was considered and never pursued. This new incarnation is being developed as a starring vehicle for Beyonce, and Warner have for some time been trying to find the male lead. The plot is centered around a young artist who marries a fading star, while her career flourishes, age and alcoholism send his career into a downward spiral.
