Another Brit: Christopher Nolan talked Batman: The Dark Knight Rises, at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival where he received the Modern Master Award for Inception on Sunday night. The Organizations tribute to the director took place at the Arlington Theatre in downtown Santa Barbara where Nolan said he saw James Cameron's Aliens years ago. ComingSoon were there and focused right onto Moderator Pete Hammond's mouth when he asked the director where he got the title [The Dark Knight Rises] from.
The Brit responded: "I banged my head against the wall." Quite a revealing reply, I illustrate:
The audience laughed in ignorance but Nolan went on to say, "We've worked on it a long time - David Goyer and myself. We're about 12 weeks away from shooting. We start in May." The Brit kept is tea loving lips shut when questioned on whether the overtly sexy Anne Hathaway would play Catwoman or just Selina Kyle. When asked he simply thought of Old Britannica and belched destructively from his ale stained gut.
The Dark Knight Rises is scheduled to open in theaters on July 20, 2012.
