MARVEL PRESIDENT KEVIN FEIGE OPENS UP ON MARVEL'S FUTURE PROJECTS & CURRENT RUMORS

Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige took part in a live Q&A via The Los Angeles Times: Hero Complex. Feige spoke openly giving plenty of updates on upcoming projects and existing movies, also debunking recent rumors from the ole rumor mill of B.S mountain.

Iron Man will have a new set of armor in The Avengers:

"Joss would kill me if I gave anything away, but I will say that the evolution you saw his armor take in IM2 will continue in The Avengers."

Donald Blake [Thor's alter-ego in the comic books] will be mentioned in the upcoming movie:

"People looking for a reference to Don Blake in the Thor film will find one."

When will we see a trailer for Captain America: The First Avenger?

"Working on the Cap trailer now. You should be seeing one in the new year."

When asked about the chances of seeing The Invaders in Captain America, he confirmed that they wouldnt feature:

"While there's no Invaders, there's lots of Howling Commandos!"

Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury will also not appear in the WWII scenes of that movie.

"We're keeping Nick Fury as portrayed by the great Sam Jackson just in the modern era for now."

Marvel Studios have the rights to The Punisher regained and are currently figuring out what to do with the property.

"Punisher's back in house, and various plans are in the works."

Plans are still underway for an Iron Fist adaptation, with a script currently in development:

"A very talented writer is currently working on a draft."

The Iron Fist script is based, in part, on the Ed Brubaker/Matt Fraction series:

"The movie is definitely inspired by that great run."

When asking fans which female character they'd like to see in a movie, Ms. Marvel was a popular suggestion. Feige named one of his own favorites:

"I love Jessica Jones. Good choice!"

On the subject of Luke Cage, Feige was met with a several suggestions for Isaiah Mustafa:

"Love the old spice guy!"

Ant-Man is still in development with Edgar Wright attached to the screenplay:

"Edgar was here a few days ago. He's already working on the next draft."

Moon Knight is one character for which a potential adaptation has been discussed at length:

"Moonknight's a challenging, but extremely interesting character. We've been discussing various versions of it for years."

Black Panther is being worked on, but details are scarce.

"Things are in the works."

On Chris Evans as Captain America and Sebastian Stan as Bucky:

"We figured if Harrison Ford could be Indiana Jones and Han Solo, Chris Evans could play Torch and Cap. Bucky plays an important part in the film. Sebastian Stan's done a tremendous job playing him."

On whether Captain America will be able to match up to Iron Man and Thor in The Avengers:

"Evans owns the screen as Cap and is going to hold his own and then some."

On when we can expect to see the first pictures of Hugo Weaving as The Red Skull:

"You’ll be seeing it soon enough. And believe me, he looks amazing. More Cap pics coming early next year."

On whether Captain America, Thor and The Avengers will feature after-credit scenes:

"Some of them will..."
